What this tool is.

Image To Text Generator is a free, browser-based utility that extracts text from images using an open-source on-device OCR engine. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. No account is required and the core tool is free for personal and commercial use.

Accuracy.

OCR is probabilistic, not perfect. Accuracy depends on image quality, fonts, languages, and layout, and the tool may misread characters or miss text entirely, particularly with handwriting, low resolution, blur, or decorative type. Always review extracted text before relying on it for anything important. We are not responsible for errors in recognition output.

Acceptable use.

You agree not to misuse the site. In particular, do not:

• Attempt to disrupt the site, its hosting, or its content delivery.
• Misrepresent the tool's output or our privacy claims.
• Use extracted text in ways that infringe the rights of others (for example, reproducing copyrighted material beyond fair use).

Because all processing happens on your device, your images and results are your responsibility: keep backups of anything important and be thoughtful about what you paste into any website.

Intellectual property.

The site's design, text, and code are ours (except open-source components like OCR libraries and fonts, which carry their own licenses). Your images and extracted text are yours. We never receive them, so we claim no rights over them.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the tool, including reliance on inaccurate OCR output. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.

Changes.

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
